Overview:

The LAN9254T/JRX is a 3-port EtherCAT device controller (ESC) with two integrated Ethernet PHYs, each providing a full-duplex 100BASE-TX transceiver that supports 100Mbps (100BASE-TX) operation. The LAN9254 supports HP Auto-MDIX, allowing the use of either direct-connected or cross-LAN cables. The device provides a cost-effective solution for system developers to implement EtherCAT device solutions.


The LAN9254 includes a 3-port EtherCAT device controller with 8K bytes of dual-port memory (DPRAM), eight synchronization managers, eight fieldbus memory management units (FMMUs), and a 64-bit distributed clock.


The device adds functionality to the LAN9252 and LAN9253 to meet customer requirements for improved cycle time, increased IO channels, integration, and system-level cost savings.


Features

• 2/3 port EtherCAT slave station controller with 8 fieldbus memory management units (FMMUs) and 8 sync managers

• Interfaces with most 8/16-bit embedded controllers and 32-bit embedded controllers via the 8/16-bit bus

• Integrated Ethernet PHY with HP Auto-MDIX

• LAN Wake-up (WOL) support

• Low power mode allows the system to go into sleep mode until the host is addressed

• Cable diagnostic support

1.8V to 3.3V Variable voltage input/output

• Integrated 1.2V regulator, support 3.3V single-channel operation
