The R7FA4L1BD4CFP microcontroller is a low-power MCU based on 80MHz Arm Cortex-M33 and supports TrustZone, segment code LCD controller and advanced security functions. It is particularly suitable for low-power battery applications.


The R7FA4L1BD4CFP microcontroller has the following main features:

80MHz Arm Cortex-M33 supporting TrustZone

512KB dual-block flash memory supporting BGO

64KB SRAM supporting 32KB parity check and 32KB ECC

8KB data flash memory

Operating current: 168µA/MHz, standby current: 1.65µA

Rapid wake-up within 3.5µS (from MOCO)

Six SCI multi-functional serial ports (UART, simple SPI, simple I2C)

Two low-power UART interfaces supporting 32kHz

Independent SPI/I2C multi-master interface

Overview

The R7FA4L1BD4CFP low-power 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) is based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 (CM33) core that supports TrustZone®, achieving an ideal balance of low operating voltage, low power consumption and high performance. The operating voltage of the RA4L1 MCU is as low as 1.6V, and the standby current is as low as 1.65µA. It also features multiple low-power consumption functions, allowing users to dynamically optimize power consumption/performance according to application requirements.


The R7FA4L1BD4CFP MCU features low-power functions such as segment code LCD display drivers and advanced security engines, as well as RTC, ADC and timers. These MCUS integrate communication interfaces such as CAN FD, USB 2.0FS, I2C/I3C and low-power UART, and are therefore highly suitable for applications in industrial automation, home appliances, smart homes, consumer goods, building/home automation and medical/healthcare.


In addition, the R7FA4L1BD4CFP is packaged in a 100-pin LQFP package and can support an operating temperature range of -40 to 125 °C. The RA4L1 MCU offers comprehensive support from Renesas Electronics' flexible software Package (FSP) and a complete set of software and hardware development tools.
