Introduction
The ADC12DL3200ALJ is a RF sampling gigabit sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that can directly sample input frequencies from DC to over 10GHz. The maximum sampling rate of ADC12DL3200ALJ in dual-channel mode is 3200MSPS. This device can be programmed to balance the number of channels (dual-channel mode) and the Nyquist bandwidth (single-channel mode), facilitating users to develop flexible hardware and thereby meeting the requirements of applications with high number of channels or wide instantaneous signal bandwidth. The ADC12DL3200ALJ features a full power input bandwidth of 8.0GHz (-3dB) and a practical frequency range, enabling direct RF sampling of the L, S, C, and X bands of frequency-agile systems.
The ADC12DL3200ALJ adopts a low-latency low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) interface for delay-sensitive applications, or this interface can be used when the simplicity of LVDS is required. This interface uses up to 48 data pairs, four double Data Rate (DDR) clocks and four selected communication signals (arranged in four 12-bit data buses). This interface supports a signal rate of up to 1.6Gbps. Selecting communication signals can simplify the synchronization work between buses and among multiple devices. The selection signal is generated internally, and the SYSREF input can reset it at a determined time. Innovative synchronization characteristics such as noise-free aperture delay (TAD) adjustment and SYSREF windowing further simplify multi-device synchronization.
