Product introduction

The HMC7911LP5E is a compact GaAs MMIC I/Q upconverter in a RoHS-compliant low-stress injection molded plastic SMT package. The device provides 14 dB small signal conversion gain and 25 dBc sideband rejection performance.


The HMC7911LP5E operates with an RF amplifier and is fronted by an I/Q mixer that drives the LO. IF1 and IF2 mixer inputs are also available, and the desired sideband needs to be selected by external 90° mixing. The I/Q mixer topology reduces interference sideband filtering requirements. HMC7911LP5E is a small replacement device for the hybrid single-side band inverter, which does not require wire welding and can use surface mount manufacturing technology.
