With the rapid development of vehicle electrification, especially the extensive use of SiC and other devices in the energy conversion process, due to high voltage and high frequency power conversion, a lot of stray magnetic field interference has been caused to the interior environment, and the Oems and Tier 1 have proposed application indicators that the suppression ability of DC stray magnetic field can reach 4000A/m (about 5mT).

Based on this need, Infineon introduced the industry-leading XENSIV™ TLE49SRI3 / TLE49SRP3 Angle sensor in 2024. The Angle sensor can resist stray magnetic field interference up to 8mT without any shielding measures. At the same time, the TLE49SRI3 / TLE49SRP3 itself has a measurement accuracy of less than 1°, which can be further reduced to less than 0.5° if the on-chip lookup table is constructed with multi-point calibration (with 16 variable points or 32 isometric points). This function helps to compensate for Angle errors caused by mechanical deviations in the manufacturing process.

The TLE49SRI3 / TLE49SRP3 Angle sensor was developed according to ISO 26262 to meet functional safety level ASIL-C, facilitating the construction of system-level ASIL-D functional safety objectives. The product is suitable for safety system level applications such as electronic power steering, vehicle height adjustment and vehicle chassis.
