The MAX22208AUU offers four independently controlled 65V, 3.8AMAX H half-bridge drivers. It can drive four solenids, two brushed DC motors, a stepper motor, or a combination of different loads.
The MAX22208AUU's power supply FETs have a very low impedance and, as a result, drive efficiency is high and heat dissipation is minimal. The typical value of total RON (high + low end) is 0.3Ω (typical value). Each half-bridge can be individually controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM) using two logical inputs (DIN_, EN_).
The MAX22208AUU's integrated lossless current detection eliminates the need for larger external power resistors, resulting in significant space and power savings compared to mainstream applications based on external detection resistors.
The MAX22208AUU features overcurrent protection (OCP), thermal shutdown (TSD), and undervoltage lock (UVLO) protection. An open leak low-level active FAULT pin is activated each time a fault condition is detected.
