Introduction

The TPD3S713AQRVCRQ1 USB 2.0 Interface Protection IC is a single chip solution for battery short circuit, short circuit and ESD protection. The device is designed for high-speed data and power lines in automotive USB hubs, audio hosts, telematics and media interface applications. The integrated data switch provides optimal bandwidth when the USB shorts the battery to minimize signal attenuation. With the non-detachable long cables commonly used in automotive USB environments, bandwidths up to 1.2GHz are able to produce a clear USB 2.0 high-speed (480Mbps) eye map.

• Complies with AEC-Q100 standard for automotive applications:

- Device temperature Class 1: Ambient operating temperature range from -40 °C to +125°C

- HBM ESD Class H2

- Device CDM ESD class C5

Battery short circuit protection (up to 18V) and ground short circuit protection on VBUS pins

• Battery short circuit protection (up to 18V) and VBUS short circuit protection on DM_IN, DP_IN pins

• DP_IN, DM_IN and VBUS according to IEC 61000-4-2 standards

- ±8kV contact discharge and ±15kV air discharge

• DP_IN, DM_IN and VBUS according to ISO 10605 (330pF, 330Ω)

- ±8kV contact discharge and ±15kV air discharge

• High speed data switch (1230MHz bandwidth)

• 4.5V to 5.5V input voltage operating range

• 50mA to 600mA adjustable current limit (±13.5% accuracy at 200mA)

• Integrated 73mΩ (typical value) high-side MOSFETs

• 500mA maximum continuous output current

• VBUS cable compensation
