VSC7435XMT Device Description:

The VSC7435 Serval-TE™ Carrier Ethernet Switch targets IP edge demarcation and access devices for enterprise and mobile backhaul services.The VSC7435 is based on the Virtualised Service-Aware Architecture (ViSAA™), a silicon implementation that delivers unparalleled Service Edge and Carrier Ethernet (CE) networking capabilities. ViSAA enables wire-speed performance for even the most feature-rich Carrier Ethernet services, and the VSC7435 also integrates VeriTime™, Microsemi's patent-pending timing technology, which provides the industry's most accurate implementation of IEEE 1588v2 timing to meet today's LTE/LTE-A requirements.

The VSC7435 switch includes four 10/100/1000 Mbps ports (up to two copper ports) and two 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps ports. The integrated DPLL reduces BOM costs, simplifies system design, and provides proven interoperability between the switch and the DPLL. The VSC7435 offers a rich set of Carrier Ethernet switching features such as hierarchical QoS, hardware-based OAM (Ethernet and MPLS/MPLS-TP) and SAM, protection switching, synchronous Ethernet, and an integrated EEC/PEC DPLL controller. The VSC7435 Serval-TE™ device is a 9 Gbps Carrier Ethernet switch with up to six ports that supports the following major port configurations: 

- 4 × 1G SGMII ports + 2 × 2.5G SGMII ports 

- 6 × 1G SGMII ports 

- Two of the 1G SGMII ports are dual-media ports with a choice of 1G SGMII or 1G CuPHY. 

In addition, the device supports one 10/100/1000 Mbps SGMII/SerDes Node Processor Interface (NPI) Ethernet port.
