1. Overview

The NCL30159 LLC converter controller provides wide dimming range operation in wide output conditions with frequency ranges up to 750kHz. The NCL30159 Logical Link Controller (LLC) is a primary side current mode controller with high efficiency in standby, open series protection and dedicated startup. This converter controller features high voltage start and power failure detection, significantly simplifying the design of power or LED string drivers. − This NCL30159 controller has the maximum power limit function. Analog dimming functions are combined with PWM dimming to design window LED drivers and control the total luminous flux from the LED light string.

The converter controller is available in a SOIC−16 package with an integrated half-bridge output driver and primary current detection. With minimal external components, the controller is suitable for lighting applications. Typical applications include window (CP) LED drivers, dimmable LED drivers, low-cost and efficient LED lighting, electric vehicle battery chargers, and TV power supplies.
