Infineon's second generation ISOFACE™ 8-channel high-end driver IC ISO2H823V1.5 provides integrated 2.5kV current isolation and therefore meets IEC 61131-2 enhanced isolation requirements. At the same time, ISO2H823V1.5 sets a new standard for system-level diagnostics. Each of the 8 channels is equipped with 5 diagnostic monitoring functions: open load (active mode - driver on and inactive mode - driver off), short circuit to VBB, over current (= short circuit to GND), over temperature.

As industrial control systems continue to increase in complexity and integration, comprehensive diagnostic monitoring is of high value in a wide range of industrial applications, both for preventive maintenance and to reduce costly unplanned downtime.

The ISO2H823V25 is a current isolated 8-bit data interface in the PG-VQFN-70-2 package that provides eight fully protected high-voltage side power switches that can handle up to 730 mA per channel.
