Product Description:

The DAC43902RTERQ1 is an automotive 8-bit intelligent DAC that provides 4 PWM outputs. The DAC channel is also used as a trigger input or output. The DAC4390x-Q1 provides a pre-configured state machine that logically generates logarithmic dimming in configurable timing. Logarithmic dimming based on PWM is suitable for logarithmic fade in and fade out applications in automotive interior and exterior lighting. The DAC4390x-Q1 also supports sequential animation for automotive turn indicators. These devices provide NVM to store the configuration. These smart Dacs run using GPIO and NVM and do not require a processor (processorless run mode).

The device automatically detects I2C or SPI and has an internal benchmark. With this set of features, as well as the miniature package and low power consumption, the smart DAC is ideal for automotive lighting animation applications.
