Product Description:

The CYUSB4357-BZXC is an EZ-USB™HX3PD USB 10 Gbps hub controller with USB power. Infineon HX3PD is a series of USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C hubs with USB Power supply (PD) capabilities that comply with the USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) specification as well as the latest Type-C and PD standards. The HX3PD supports ultra-high speed USB (10 Gbps), ultra-high speed (5 Gbps), high speed (HS), full speed (FS), and low speed (LS) on selected ports. HX3PD offers a complete Type-C and USB PD port controller solution in upstream (US) and one downstream (DS) port.

-5 downstream ports support SS (10 Gbps), SS (5 Gbps), and backward compatible HS (480Mbps), FS (12 Mbps), and LS (1.5 Mbps)

- The two downstream ports support HS and are backward compatible with FS and LS respectively

-SS (10 Gbps), SS (5 Gbps) and USB 2.0 Link Power Management (LPM)

- Dedicated High-speed Transaction Converter (Multi-TT)

• Integrated Type-C transceiver, support Type-C plug orientation

-Type-C Supports four ports (one US port and three DS ports)

- Integrated Transceiver (Baseband PHY)

- Integrated UFP (RD) and DFP Current Source (RP)

¡ o Integrated PD controller, supporting PD 3.0 specifications 1 US port and 1 DS port

• Upstream: can be configured as a Type-C or Type-B port

• Downstream: Can be configured as three Type-C and four Type A ports, or seven Type A ports

• Composite USB PD hub with integrated USB device controller supports:

-USB billboard

- Firmware upgrade in the system

- Vendor specific messages

• Support for integrated docking station management controllers

- Signed and unsigned firmware updates

- Firmware upgrade via USB

- Port enabled and disabled dynamic configuration for I2C-based embedded controllers

-USB PD 3.0, Battery charging V1.2 and Apple charging standard

• PD policy engine dynamically configures the power profile
