Description:

The STSPIN948TR scalable dual-way full bridge driver is a 4.5A device for brushed DC motors or bipolar stepper motors. The power stage is designed with high dynamic performance, enabling users to achieve high frequency PWM control with precise duty cycle. Each full bridge is self-contained, has an adjustable threshold current limiter and turn-off time, and can be selected for slow or hybrid attenuation. By using external shunt resistors, two amplifiers with a fixed amplification factor provide current detection. The adjustable piezoswing rate ensures the best balance between performance and EMI. The multifunctional power stage offers a wide range of operations for high flexibility. The STMicroelectronics STSPIN948 offers a full range of protection features, including overcurrent, overheat protection, and low bus voltage detection.

Maximum output current up to 4.5ARMS

5 drive methods, with full bridge and double half bridge parallel mode

RDS(ON) HS + LS =0.36Ω (typical value)

Adjustable power MOS voltage swing rate

The integrated amplifier uses two different embedded current control technologies

The closing time is adjustable, slow speed or mixed attenuation can be selected.
