Introduction

The ADM2682EBRIZ is a fully integrated 5 kV rm signal and power isolated data transceiver with ±15 kV ESD protection for high-speed communication applications on multipoint transmission lines. The device incorporates a 5 kV rms isolated DC/DC power supply, eliminating the need for an external DC/DC isolation module.

The device is designed for balanced transmission lines and complies with ANS/TIA/EIA-485-A-98 and ISO 8482:1987(E) standards.

The ADM2682EBRIZ integrates ADI's iCoupler® technology, combining a 3-channel isolator, a tri-state differential line driver, a differential input receiver, and ADI's isoPower®DC/DC converter in a single package. They are powered by a single 5V or 3.3V supply for a fully integrated signal and power isolation RS-485 solution.
