According to foreign media reports, Renesas Electronics announced that it has reached a definitive agreement with Reality AI to acquire the embedded AI solutions provider in an all-cash transaction. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the boards of both companies and is expected to close by the end of 2022.

Through this acquisition, Renesas will significantly enhance its on-device AI capabilities, providing system developers with more flexibility and efficiency, thereby accelerating the development of AIoT products and bringing them to market faster.
