The ADRV9025ABBCZ is a highly integrated radio frequency (RF) agile transceiver that provides four independently controlled transmitters, a dedicated observation receiver input for monitoring each transmitter channel, four independently controlled receivers, an integrated frequency synthesizer and digital signal processing capabilities to form a complete transceiver solution. The device provides the performance required for a variety of cellular infrastructure applications, such as small cell base station radios, 3G/4G/5G macro systems, and massive multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) base stations.

Functional characteristics

The ADRV9025ABBCZ is a high-performance RF transceiver chip with the following key functional features:

Configurable digital filters ‌ : support 1, 2, 4 times up-sampling or bypass to compensate for the roll-down effect of the DAC. The filter coefficients can be configured with a selection of 20, 40, 60 or 80 filter taps, and the gain can be configured with +6 dB, 0 dB, -6 dB or -12 dB‌4.

Transresistance amplifier (TIA) ‌ : At the receiving end, TIA is a low-pass filter with a bandwidth of up to 200 MHz. Each TIA supports a passband of 100 MHz and is divided into two I/Q channels. The downsampling phase can be achieved by DEC5 or a combination of FIR1/FIR2 and RHB3 with a factor of 5, 2 or 4, respectively ‌5.
