PCM5242RHBR is a single-chip CMOS integrated circuit manufactured by Texas Instruments (TI) for audio applications. The device uses TI's latest generation advanced segmented DAC architecture for outstanding dynamic performance and improved clock jitter tolerance.
The PCM5242RHBR integrates a fully programmable miniDSP kernel, allowing developers to integrate filters, dynamic range control, custom interpolators, and other differentiating features into their products.
The PCM5242RHBR offers a 4.2VRMS ground-centered differential output, allowing designers to eliminate DC blocking capacitors on the output, as well as external silencing circuits traditionally associated with single-cord drivers.
The integrated PLL on this device eliminates the need for a system clock (often called a master clock), allowing 3-wire I2S connections and reducing system EMI.

Integrated negative charge pump
Intelligent shielding system; Soft rise or fall ramp and analog silence for 120dB silent SNR
Integrated high-performance audio PLL with BCK reference for internal SCK generation
Accepts 16 bit, 24 bit and 32 bit audio data
PCM data format: I2S, left justified
SPI or I2C control
Hardware configuration
Automatic power saving mode when LRCK and BCK are disabled
1.8V or 3.3V fail-safe LVCMOS digital input
Single power operation:
3.3V analog, 1.8V or 3.3V digital
