Built for the next generation of creators and gamers, the new Intel Core Ultra 200HX and 200H series processors feature breakthrough compute and graphics performance, efficiency and AI capabilities that take the overall notebook experience to new heights,’ said Josh Newman, president, Client Computing Business Unit, Intel. ’

According to Intel's latest information, the Core Ultra 200H series consists of three products: the Intel Core Ultra 5 235H, an Ultra 7 265H, and the top-of-the-line Ultra 9 285H. The top configuration is the Core Ultra 9 285H processor, which delivers 16 cores (six performance cores, eight high-efficiency cores, and two low-power cores) with a It also features eight Intel Arc GPU cores, which is enough to run some small games.

The Intel Core Ultra 200H series processors feature up to eight Intel Xe cores for Intel Razzle Dazzle™ graphics with Intel Matrix Engine for AI acceleration, which improves gaming performance by up to 22 per cent compared to the previous generation of H-series processors; across the entire platform, the new processors' GPUs, CPUs, and NPUs are capable of delivering up to 99 TOPS of arithmetic power.

The Core Ultra 200HX chip family, on the other hand, adds more cores to make it even more suitable for gaming and intense workloads. The new 200HX series for the mobile workstation community includes the Intel Core Ultra 5 245HX, Ultra 9 285HX, and the top-of-the-line chips feature an 8 performance core, 16 efficiency core layout. The chips also include four Xe graphics cores, the same as the 200V series. Intel says the Ultra 200HX is aimed at ‘enthusiast laptops’, while the Ultra 200H is designed for ‘thin and light’ devices.

Like its predecessors, the second-generation Core Ultra chipset features an ‘AI-optimised architecture where the CPU, GPU and NPU’ work together to deliver fast performance. The mobile processor features a ‘new CPU architecture’, next-generation Intel Arc graphics, and a ‘higher-capacity NPU’ to help people be more productive, the company said. Speaking of features, the chips feature encapsulated memory and introduce support for Wi-Fi 7 to ensure fast wireless connectivity.

For business users committed to staying ahead of the curve in the age of AI, Intel introduced the Intel Core Ultra 200V family of processors based on the Intel vPro platform. 2025, Intel continues to work with Microsoft to bring AI-driven innovation, enhanced security and superior performance. Windows 11 AI+ PCs with Intel Core Ultra 200V Series processors are able to drive the next generation of AI productivity while providing longer-lasting endurance.

Additionally, Intel is expanding its Intel Core Ultra 200S Series desktop processors with 12 new 65W and 35W models. Equipped with up to eight performance cores and 16 power-efficiency cores, these new processors will provide consumers with a desktop CPU solution that balances performance and power-efficiency, whether they are gaming, creating or using productivity applications.

‘Intel Core Ultra processors are setting a new benchmark for mobile AI and graphics technology, another strong example of the x86 architecture delivering superior performance and efficiency as it shapes the future of personal computing. The strength of Intel's AI PC product innovation, combined with the breadth and scale of our hardware and software ecosystems across all market segments, is delivering a better user experience in the way we have traditionally used PCs for productivity, creativity and communication, while opening up more than 400 new AI-related capabilities. Intel will continue to drive the development of its AI PC portfolio in 2025 and will mass produce products demonstrated to customers using Intel's 18A process process in the second half of 2025.’ said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel's interim co-CEO, and CEO of Intel Products.
