Currently, AI has been integrated into everyone's work and life from all dimensions. According to the forecast data of market research organisation Precedence research, the global AI market size in 2024 will be about $638.23 billion, and will grow to $3,680.47 billion in 2034, with a compound annual growth rate of 19.1% during this period. the AI outbreak has brought about a huge demand for processors and arithmetic chips, for which Arm has made full preparations.

Zou Ting, global vice president of Arm's China business, said that 2024 is a year of rapid growth in generative AI, and a key year for Arm's transformation into a computing platform company. Thanks to a number of advances in hardware, software, ecology, and other aspects of Arm's platform solutions are becoming the technological cornerstone to support AI computing. In terms of hardware, Arm introduced Computing Subsystems (CSS) to enrich the solution lineup and accelerate the process of bringing products to market while effectively improving performance and energy efficiency.

For the infrastructure field, Arm launched two new Arm Neoverse CSSs built on the new third-generation Neoverse IP: Arm Neoverse CSS V3 and Arm Neoverse CSS N3, with the former achieving a 50% increase in single-chip performance and the latter achieving a 20% increase in performance per watt.

For the smartphone market, Arm introduced the Arm Terminal CSS, a computing platform for next-generation smartphones and computers that integrates the latest Armv9.2 CPU, Arm's flagship Immortalis GPU, and production-ready physical implementations of the CPU and GPU. This is the fastest Arm compute platform to date, dramatically improving compute and graphics performance and AI inference speed for a wider range of AI workloads. The Arm Cortex-X925 and Immortalis-G925 have been integrated into the MediaTek Tengui 9400 chip, which powers the core of China's latest flagship mobile phones, such as the Vivo X200 and OPPO Find X8 series. It is also reported that Arm Terminal CSS won the 2024 Leading Technology Award from the World Internet Conference, reflecting industry recognition for its leadership and redefining the AI experience on mobile.

For the automotive market, Arm introduced a series of new Arm Automotive Enhancement (AE) processors and virtual platforms that enable the automotive industry to apply them from the beginning of development, helping to shorten the development cycle by up to two years. The Arm Neoverse V3AE is also the first time Arm has brought the Armv9 architecture to automotive applications, enabling the industry to benefit from the AI, security and virtualisation capabilities of the next-generation Arm architecture. In addition, the Arm Automotive CSS will be delivered in 2025, which will significantly improve computing performance and efficiency and shorten time-to-market.
