LTC2986ILX-1 Device Description:
The LTC2986 measures a wide range of temperature sensors and outputs results digitally (°C or °F) with an accuracy of 0.1°C and a resolution of 0.001°C. The LTC2986 measures the temperature of virtually any standard (Types B, E, J, K, N, S, R, and T) or custom thermocouple, compensates for cold junction temperatures automatically, and linearises the results. The device can also measure temperature using standard 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTDs, thermistors, and diodes. the LTC2986 includes an excitation current source and fault detection circuitry suitable for all types of temperature sensors.
The LTC2986/LTC2986-1 is a 10-channel software and pin compatible version of the 20-channel LTC2983/LTC2984. Other features include special modes for easy protection in general-purpose multi-sensor applications, custom tables for general-purpose ADC readings, and direct temperature readout from active analogue temperature sensors.The LTC2986-1 is the EEPROM version of the LTC2986.
