Product Overview:

The ADM1278-2ACPZ-RL hot-swappable controller has a built-in PMBus interface that allows the circuit board to be inserted into or removed from a live backplane. The ADM1278 also integrates a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for current, voltage, and power read back through the PMBus™ interface. The load current is measured using an internal current detecting amplifier,

The PMBus interface allows the controller to read data from the ADC. Up to 16 unique I²C addresses can be selected depending on how the two ADRx pins are connected.

The ADM1278 Hot-swap controller is packaged in a 32-pin LFCSP package and has a RETRY pin that can be configured to retry or lock automatically in the event of an overcurrent failure. It is suitable for servers, power monitoring & control/power budgeting, central switching office equipment, telecommunications & data communication equipment.
