The ADMT4000BRUZAA is a magnetic rotation sensor that can record the number of rotations of the magnetic system even when the device is powered off. When powered on, the suite can be queried to report the absolute location of the system. The absolute position is reported via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). The ADMT4000BRUZAA can count up to 46 turns of external magnetic fields, increasing the absolute position count in a clockwise (CW) direction.

Industrial application

The ADMT4000BRUZAA consists of three magnetic sensors: a giant magnetoresistance (GMR) revolutions count sensor for counting the number of rotations of the system, a GMR quadrant detection sensor, and an anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) Angle sensor. The AMR Angle sensor, when used in combination with the GMR quadrant detection sensor, can determine the absolute position of the system within a 360° range. By combining the output of the GMR rotational count sensor with that of the AMR Angle sensor, this kit can report the position of the system with high Angle accuracy.
