The MC56F81648VLH controller (DSC) family is based on the 32-bit 56800EX core. Each device combines the processing power of a DSP with the functionality of an MCU and a flexible set of peripherals on a single chip. The DSCs, based on the 32-bit 56800EX core, feature a unified C-efficient architecture for DSP and MCU functionality in fast mode, with up to 100 MIPS at 100 MHz, and on-chip memory up to 128 KB Flash, up to 20 KB data/program RAM, on-chip Flash, and on-chip memory up to 20 KB data/program RAM. On-chip memory up to 128 KB Flash, up to 20 KB data/program RAM, on-chip Flash and RAM can be mapped to program and data memory space.
