The LPS22DFTR MEMS nanopressure sensor is an ultra-compact piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor that can be used as a digital output barometer. The LPS22DF has lower power consumption and lower pressure noise compared to the previous generation. The device includes a sensing element and an IC interface that communicates from the sensing element to the application via an I2C, MIPI I3CSM or SPI interface, and supports a wide Vdd IO range of the digital interface. The sensing element detects absolute pressure and contains a suspended membrane manufactured using a dedicated process developed by ST.
