Product Description

The TPS548D22RVFR device is a compact single-channel buck converter with adaptive on-time D-CAP3 mode control. The device is designed for high accuracy, high efficiency, fast transient response, ease of use, few external components and space constrained power systems.


The device features fully differential sensing and TI integrated FETs with a high-side on-resistance of 2.9 mΩ and a low-side on-resistance of 1.2 mΩ. In addition, the device offers 0.5% accuracy and a 0.9V reference voltage with an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Competitive features include a very low external component count, precise load regulation and line regulation, automatic jump or FCCM operation and internal soft-start control.


The TPS548D22RVFR device is available in a 7mm × 5mm, 40-pin, LQFN-CLIP (RVF) package (RoHs exempt).

- Conversion input voltage range (PVIN): 1.5V to 16V

- Input bias voltage (VDD) range: 4.5V to 22V

- Output voltage range: 0.6V to 5.5V

- Integrated 2.9mΩ and 1.2mΩ power MOSFETs, 40A continuous output current

- Voltage reference 0.6V to 1.2V (50mV step) with VSEL pin

- ±0.5%, 0.9VREF Tolerance range: -40°C to +125°C junction temperature

- True differential remote sensing amplifier

- D-CAP3™ control loop to support high-capacity capacitors and/or small MLCCs without the use of external compensation

- Adaptive on-time control with a choice of 4 frequency settings: 425kHz, 650kHz, 875kHz and 1.05MHz

- Temperature compensated and programmable current limit with RILIM and OC clamp

- Optional intermittent or latching OVP or UVP

- External adjustment of VDD UVLO with precise EN hysteresis

- Pre-biased start-up support

- Eco-mode™ and FCCM options available

- Full fault protection and PGOOD

- 7mm × 5mm × 1.5mm, 40-pin, stacked clipping LQFN-CLIP package
