The SmartFusion 2 SoC FPGA combines a fourth-generation flash-based FPGA architecture, an Arm Cortex-M3 processor, and a high-performance communication interface on a single chip. The Microcontroller subsystem (MSS) provides multiple interface options for the FPGA architecture to facilitate tight integration between the MSS and user logic in the architecture.
