The BCM68660 is a high-performance, single-chip, cost-effective OLT PON SoC. It provides 32 NG-PON2/XGS-PON/XGPON/GPON/10G AE OLT PON interfaces, 16 10G EPON/EPON/25G EPON/25G AE OLT interfaces, And eight 50G high-speed PON (HSP) ports.

The BCM68660 integrates PON MAC and burst-mode PON SerDes, programmable data paths for packet processing/switching, traffic management, and CPU subsystems.

The BCM68660 is powered by five quad-core B53 processor clusters that implement an ARMV8-A-compliant architecture. Each kernel includes an advanced cache hierarchy with a 32 KB bidirectional setup associated instruction cache and a 32 KB quad setup associated data cache. Each B53 quad-core processor cluster also includes a 1 MB 16-way set-associated secondary cache.

Other supported interfaces include two single-channel PCIe 3.0 ports (endpoint/root complex), NAND/eMMC, BSC, Serial Port Interface (SPI), and UART, as well as a large number of generic input/output (GPIO), interrupts, and timers.
