Overview:

The AFBR-S50MX85I is a multi-pixel optical distance and motion measurement sensor module based on the optical time-of-flight principle. The technology has been developed for applications requiring maximum speed and accuracy over medium distance ranges, while featuring small size and low power consumption.

The AFBR-S50MX85I sensor has been developed primarily for industrial sensing applications over short to medium distances, typically up to 5 metres. Examples include high-resolution monitoring, motion and gesture sensing. The module integrates an 850 nm laser light source and, thanks to its 13°x6° emission cone, all 32 pixels can be used simultaneously regardless of the distance to the object.
