STPM34 Single Phase Meter IC of ASSP Series

Product Description

The STPM34 single-phase meter ICs belong to the ASSP family and they use Roche coils, current transformers or bypass current sensors to achieve highly accurate measurements of power and electrical energy in power line systems. These devices provide instantaneous voltage and current waveforms and calculate root mean square (rms) values of voltage and current, active power, reactive power, apparent power and electrical energy.The STPM34 is a family of mixed signal ICs consisting of an analogue section and a digital section. The analogue section contains up to two programmable gain low-noise low-distortion amplifiers and up to four second-order 24-bit sigma-delta analogue-to-digital converters, two energy-gap voltage references with independent temperature compensation, a low dropout voltage regulator and several DC buffers. The digital section contains the digital filter stage, a hard-wired DSP, DFE connection inputs and a serial communication interface (UART or SPI). They are fully configurable and require only one point of load for fast digital system calibration over the entire current dynamic range.
