Broadcom® BCM84880B0IFSBG is a single-port 5GBASE-T / 2.5GBASE-T / 1000BASE-T / 100BASE-TX Ethernet CMOS transceiver. The device is available for 5GBASE-T, 2.5 performing all physical layer functions in categories Cat5e, GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 100BASE-TX Ethernet on 6 or 6A twisted pair.

The BCM84880 automatically negotiates the operating speed with any transceiver on the other end of the line.

The BCM84880 features enhanced cable diagnostics to detect common cable problems such as short circuits, open circuits, and cable lengths.
