The AMC22C12DR is an isolated window comparator with short response time. The open-drain outputs are separated from the input circuits by an isolation barrier that is extremely resistant to electromagnetic interference. The barrier is certified to provide galvanic isolation up to 3kVRMS according to DIN EN IEC 60747-17 (VDE 0884-17) and UL1577, and supports operating voltages up to 560 VRMS.

The comparator's window voltage is centered at 0V, which means the comparator will trip if the absolute value of the input voltage exceeds the trip threshold. The trip threshold can be adjusted from ±20mV to ±300mV with a single external resistor, so the threshold for this comparator window ranges from ±20mV to ±300mV. voltages greater than 550mV on the REF pin disable the negative comparator, leaving only the positive comparator operational. The reference voltage in this mode can be as high as 2.7 V. This mode is especially useful for monitoring voltage supplies.

The open-drain outputs on the device support either a transparent mode where the output state is aligned with the input state (latch input connected to GND2) or a latch mode where the output is cleared on the falling edge of the latch input signal.

The AMC22C12DR is available in an 8-pin SOIC package and is rated for industrial grade operation over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
