The ITV4030L2022NR is a three-terminal surface mount lithium-ion battery protector designed to prevent damage caused by overcurrent and overcharge. A fuse element is embedded to cut the circuit in case of an overcurrent problem. The heater is also embedded directly under the fuse element, and as soon as the IC or FET detects overpressure, the heater generates heat, blowing the fuse.
