The ITV9550L5060MR is a chip based surface mount device that protects against both overcurrent and overcharge. It includes a fuse element to ensure stable operation under normal current and to cut off the current in case of overcurrent. It also includes resistive heating elements that can be used in conjunction with voltage detection devices such as ics and FETs. When an overvoltage is detected, the heating element is electrically excited to generate heat to fuse the fuse element, thus achieving overvoltage protection.
