The Allegro ACS758 current Sensor IC series provides an affordable and accurate solution for AC or DC current influenza measurement. Typical applications include motor applications, load detection and management, power and DC-DC converter control, converter control, and overcurrent protection.

The device consists of a low-offset precision linear Hall circuit with a copper current path near the surface of the wafer. The current flowing through this current path creates a magnetic field that can be converted by the Hall IC into a proportional voltage output. The device accuracy is optimized by placing the magnetic signal close to the Hall sensor. Precise, proportional output voltage is provided by a stable chopper low-bias BiCMOS Hall IC, which is factory-programmed for precision.
