The DRV3245SQPHPRQ1 device is a FET gate driver IC for three-phase motor drive applications and is designed to meet the requirements of ISO 26262 for functional safety applications. The device features three half-bridge drivers, each capable of driving both high-side and low-side N-channel MOSFETs, along with advanced FET protection and monitoring. The charge pump drivers achieve 100% duty cycle during cold start operation and support low battery voltages. With integrated current-sense amplifiers, phase comparators, and SPI-based configuration and peripherals, the drivers eliminate most external and passive components, reducing bill of materials and printed circuit board (PCB) space.
The DRV3245SQPHPRQ1 device also integrates diagnostic and protection functions for the internal clock and provides support for common system diagnostic checks, both of which can be instantiated and reported via SPI. The flexibility of this integrated functionality allows the device to be seamlessly integrated into a variety of security architectures.
