The TLE4983CHTE6547HAMA1 is an active Hall sensor ideal for automotive camshaft applications. Its basic function is to map the tooth slots of a gear or magnetic wheel to a unique electronic output state. Due to the innovative chopper Hall technology used in this sensor, the magnetic switching points offer high accuracy and excellent stability. An electrical trim option for post-manufacturing fine-tuning sets the sensor's switching point. This ensures true energisation capability even if, for example, the magnetic configuration differs or deviates during production. The programmability of the sensor also includes the option to adjust the temperature coefficient according to the needs of the application. In addition, a self-calibration module is employed to achieve optimum accuracy during normal operation. Self-calibration adjusts the offset and is well suited for symmetrical and asymmetrical target wheels.The TLE4983CHTE6547HAMA1 is available in a three-pin package for supply voltage and open-drain output. The package has two integrated capacitors for enhanced EMC microdisconnect performance.
