The S25FL064LABBHI023 connects to a host system via a serial peripheral interface (SPI). Traditional SPI single-bit serial inputs and outputs (single I/O or SIO) are supported, as well as optional double-bit (dual I/O or DIO) and four-bit wide Quad Input/Output (QIO) and Quad Peripheral Interface (QPI) commands. In addition, QIO and QPI have double data rate (DDR) QIO and QPI read commands that transfer addresses and read data on both edges of the clock. The architecture has a page programming buffer that allows up to 256 bytes to be programmed in a single operation and provides separate 4 KB sector, 4 KB sector, and 4 KB sector programming buffers.
