The LT3083EQ is a 3A low dropout linear regulator that can be connected in parallel to increase output current or to dissipate heat on a surface mount board. Designed to be used as a precision current source and voltage follower, this new regulator can be used in many applications requiring high current, down-to-zero adjustability, and no heat sink. Additionally, the device also leads off the collector of the transfer transistor for low dropout (down to 310mV) operation when used with multiple power supplies.
