The FTDI Chip FT232RNL USB UART IC provides USB to serial UART and Bit-Bang/GPIO modes with optional clock generator outputs.The FT232RNL provides both asynchronous and synchronous Bit-Bang interface modes. USB-to-serial designs using the FT232RN are further simplified by fully integrating external EEPROM, clock circuitry, and USB resistors.
