Designed for single-axis magnetic field detection applications, the DRV425QWRTJRQ1 automotive class device enables accurate measurements of DC and AC magnetic fields with galvanic isolation and high sensitivity. The device provides an internal compensation coil to a unique and proprietary integrated fluxgate sensor (IFG) to support a high accuracy detection range of ±2mT and a measurement bandwidth of up to 47kHz. The sensor's low offset voltage, low drift, and low noise, combined with the precise gain, low gain drift, and extremely low nonlinearity provided by the built-in compensation coil, provide unrivalled magnetic field measurement accuracy. High sensitivity and accuracy enable a wider range of current measurements in high current busbar applications such as traction inverters or battery management systems. Torque sensors or motor diagnostic systems benefit from the ability to accurately measure magnetic field position or displacement. The output of the DRV425-Q1 is an analogue signal proportional to the detected magnetic field.
The device offers complete functionality, including an internal differential amplifier, an on-chip precision reference, and diagnostic capabilities to minimise component count and cut system-level costs.
The device is available in a thermally enhanced, non-magnetic, thin WQFN package with heat sinks optimised for thermal dissipation, and is rated for automotive operation over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
