The Broadcom BCM43236/BCM43236B is an IEEE 802.11n compliant dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) MAC/PHY/ radio complete system-on-chip with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz internal amplifiers. The device supports the development of IEEE 802.11n WLAN client and router subsystem solutions based on USB 2.0 or HSIC.

The BCM43236/BCM43236B is suitable for all WLAN markets that offer high throughput and extended range of Broadcom's second generation MIMO solutions. With MIMO, information is bidirectional on two or more antennas using the same frequency band at the same time, providing greater range and increasing throughput while maintaining compatibility with traditional IEEE 802.11A/B/G devices.
