The ATWINC1500B-MU is a single-chip IEEE 802.11 b/g/n radio/baseband/MAC network controller optimised for low-power mobile applications. It supports single-stream 1x1 802.11n mode, provides PHY rates up to 72 Mbps, and features a fully integrated power amplifier (PA), low noise amplifier (LNA), switches, and power management unit (PMU). Also equipped with an on-chip microcontroller with Flash and RAM memory for system software, the ATWINC1500B-MU consumes very low power while offering high performance and the lowest bill-of-materials cost. The ATWINC1500B-MU interfaces with the host microcontroller (MCU) via a serial peripheral interface (SPI), and the only external clock source required is a high-speed crystal oscillator with a frequency of 26 MHz, in a QFN package.
