The MAX20446BATG/V is a 6-channel backlight driver with boost controller for automotive displays. The integrated current outputs can each handle up to 130mA of LED current. The device accepts a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 36V to withstand automotive load dump events. The internal current mode switching DC-DC controllers support boost or SEPIC topologies and operate over the 400kHz to 2.2MHz frequency range. Integrated spread spectrum helps reduce EMI. An adaptive output voltage control scheme minimises power dissipation in the LED current sinking path.
