Apple has once again delayed the launch date of its 27-inch display with Mini-LED panel. Previously it was announced that Apple would launch the display in Q1 of this year.
Ross Young, CEO of screen supply chain consultancy DSCC, said recently that Apple has again delayed the launch of its 27-inch display with a Mini-LED panel. Previously, Apple was expected to launch the display in the first quarter of this year.
Young said there is no indication that Apple will mass produce the display, suggesting that it will not be launched at this year's spring event.
Young has previously reported that Apple has delayed the launch of the display on a number of occasions, as summarised below: Young initially predicted that Apple would release the display in June 2022, followed by an official launch on store shelves in October. Young then said again that Apple would release the monitor in Q1 2023, and now he again thinks Apple is delaying the release of the monitor.
Young previously said that the display would support ProMotion, allowing for refresh rates of up to 120Hz. Given the rumoured 27-inch size, the display could be a next-generation version of the Studio Display, but it could also be a new model between the Studio Display and the higher-end Pro Display XDR.
