Product Description:

The LT1962 series are micropower, low-noise, low dropout voltage regulators. These devices provide 300mA of output current and a differential voltage of 270mV. They are designed for use in battery powered systems and their low quiescent current of 30µA makes them an ideal choice. The quiescent current is well controlled; unlike many other regulators, the quiescent current of this family of devices does not increase under differential voltage conditions. 

A key feature of the LT1962 regulator is the low output noise. With the addition of an external 0.01µF bypass capacitor, output noise is reduced to 20µVRMS over a bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz and the LT1962 regulator can be stabilised with output capacitors as low as 3.3µF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without the series resistors required by other regulators. 

Internal protection circuitry includes reverse battery protection, current limit, thermal limit and reverse current protection. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V and 5V, and as an adjustable device with a 1.22V reference voltage.
