The localization rate of chips and devices has reached 100%. It has achieved the first milestone in the localization research and development of small base station products, and has promoted the application and development of domestic chips for small base station equipment.

It is reported that PRRU, also known as leather base station equipment, is an active equipment, a miniaturized, low-power, low-power indoor coverage RF unit, that is, an indoor base station, which is mainly used to solve the indoor wireless coverage problem in specific areas.

At present, China Telecom Research Institute takes advantage of the experience and advantages of the self-developed and expanded small base station that has been commercialized on a large scale. According to the product requirements and specifications, and based on the development status and evaluation results of domestic chips, the core components are the RF transceiver chips of Beijing Litong Communication and the DFE chips of Nanjing Chuangxin Huilian.

It is worth noting that the project team has independently completed the research and development of hardware such as product technical scheme, chip selection, schematic diagram, PCB design, etc., developed DFE embedded software code, and successfully realized the integrated application of pRRU complete domestic chip devices. In addition, the project team has successfully opened the end-to-end business of BBU, HUB and domestic pRRU, completed the laboratory test, and the typical RF indicators such as EVM, ACLR, receiver sensitivity, etc. meet the requirements of the industry standard and enterprise standard, and will carry out the field pilot and promotion application of the small base station system based on domestic pRRU in 2023.
