Qualcomm has unveiled its Wi-Fi 7 immersive home networking platform, this time designed for the home, with faster speeds, higher throughput and lower latency for home networks, expected to be commercially available in the second half of 2023.
Earlier this year, Qualcomm premiered FastConnect 7800, the world's first and fastest Wi-Fi 7 commercial solution, and in May launched the world's most scalable commercial Wi-Fi 7 professional networking solution, covering enterprise and home Mesh networking products as well as carrier gateways. Qualcomm today announced another Wi-Fi 7 immersive home networking platform, this time designed for the home, where home networks will get faster speeds, higher throughput and lower latency, and is expected to be commercially available in the second half of 2023.
The newly announced Qualcomm Wi-Fi 7 Immersive Home Networking Platform is designed to support maximum physical layer (PHY) rates of up to 20 Gbps, based on a modular and scalable platform architecture. There are two products: the Qualcomm 326 Immersive Home Networking Platform and the Qualcomm 3210 Immersive Home Networking Platform. The former is an entry-level Wi-Fi 7 tri-band configuration supporting six data streams at peak physical layer rates up to 10 Gbps, offering a 2+2+2 tri-band configuration for home mesh routers. The latter is a high-performance Wi-Fi 7 tri-band configuration supporting 10 data streams with peak physical layer rates up to 20 Gbps, catering for a 2+4+4 tri-band configuration. Although there is currently no 6Ghz channel in China and the latest 320MHz is not available, the country can also enjoy the new experience of Wi-Fi 7 technology with a tri-band configuration of 2.4GHz (40MHz) plus 5GHz low and 5GHz high frequencies.

Extended 5GHz spectrum performance, delivering an 80 per cent increase in throughput over Wi-Fi 6 with a 240MHz channel and 4K QAM modulation.
Maximised utilisation of 6GHz spectrum performance with a 140% throughput increase over Wi-Fi 6E via 320MHz channels and 4K QAM modulation. Full support for Qualcomm Auto Frequency Control for gigabits of network coverage throughout the house.
