DAC chips are one of the most important devices in determining the sound quality of audio devices because of the need to extract more information from data such as high-resolution audio sources and convert it into analog signals. The MUS-IC series 1st generation audio DAC chip "BD34301EKV" has been highly praised for its excellent sound quality and is currently adopted in flagship products of several companies, "BD34302EKV" is the 2nd generation product of this series. The new product not only reflects the basic concept of ROHM DAC chip - "natural and smooth sound", inherits the three major elements of the MUS-IC series - "spatial sound", "calm" and "sense of scale", but also aims to truly express the "texture" of the original sound of the instrument.


By using the new algorithm of DWA (Data Weighted), the BD34302EKV makes its main performance index, THD+N, reach -117dB (THD: -127dB), thereby creating a more realistic sound quality. In addition, the noise performance index "signal-to-noise ratio (SN ratio)" reaches 130dB, achieving the performance required for DAC chips used in flagship models. In addition, it supports playable sampling frequencies up to 1,536kHz, which can maximize the high-precision computing advantages of customer-designed digital signal processors (DSPS).


Not only that, each channel is assigned a DAC chip mono mode, using ROHM's own HD (High Definition) mono mode, which is very helpful to achieve natural and smooth sound. Moreover, the MUS-IC series shows uncompromising craftsmanship even in the smallest details. On the basis of the sound quality design technology accumulated by ROHM over the years, the most suitable bonding wire material was selected for each pin of the BD34302EKV to more truly reflect the original "texture" of the instrument.
