The AD7992 is a 12-bit, low power, successive approximation ADC with an I 2 C compatible interface. The part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and has a 2 µs conversion function time. The device contains a dual channel multiplexer and track-hold amplifier and can handle input frequencies up to 11 MHz.


Product highlights

1. 2 μs conversion time and low power consumption.

2. I 2 C compatible serial interface with pin selectable address. Two AD7992 versions allow five AD7992s to be connected to the same serial bus device.

3, The part has an automatic shutdown function without conversion maximising power efficiency. Current consumption is in 3 V shutdown mode with a maximum value of 1 µA.

4, The reference can be driven to the power supply.

5. Out of range indicators can be disabled by software or enabled.
