The MAX16731AWX is a 30A, 1.5MHz, 2.7V to 16V step-down switching regulator. The switching frequency of the device can be configured between 500kHz and 1.5MHz, and the design can be optimized in terms of size and performance.

Description:

The MAX16731AWX is a 30A, 1.5MHz, 2.7V to 16V step-down switching regulator. The switching frequency of the device can be configured between 500kHz and 1.5MHz, and the design can be optimized in terms of size and performance.


The MAX16731 uses a fixed frequency, current mode control with internal compensation. The IC operates with an advanced modulation scheme (AMS) and optional intermittent current mode (DCM) to improve performance. Operational Settings and configurable functions can be selected through three programming pins (PGM0, PGM1, and PGM2).


The MAX16731 has an internal 1.8V linear voltage regulator (LDO) output that powers both the gate drive (VCC) and the internal circuit (AVDD). The IC has a variety of protection features, including positive and negative overcurrent protection, output overvoltage protection and overtemperature protection, to ensure a stable and reliable design.
